Serena Mandla, MASc, Chief Scientific Officer & Co-Founder: Serena has been involved in the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of novel small peptides for cardiovascular and skin disease applications. Serena has expertise in the design and execution of animal models and the clinical translation of biologics for dermal healing applications with an extended network of advisors, mentors, and investors in the dermatological and skin research field. This is Serena’s second start-up, as was involved in successfully raising seed financing and commercializing dermatological products in the cosmetics space. Serena graduated with a BASc/MASc in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto. She brings expertise in clinical translation and the development and clinical validation of novel therapeutic compounds within the dermatological arena.
